Reservation Policy / Accommodation Rules

 

By booking with The Cottage & The Retreat Coolum beach you agree to be bound to the properties house rules and spa rules. Please see below if you have not read through these.

- No pets are allowed onsite at any time

- No smoking is allowed in or around the property

- No parties or events are allowed at any time during your stay

 Please note that the accomodation is located in a quiet residential neighbourhood and the amenities (including the outdoor firepit and bass on the subwoofer in the Cinema room) are provided for your enjoyment, within boundaries of respect for our neighbours. We cannot tolerate any loud noise after 9pm and this will be strictly enforced. We reserve the right to immediately terminate a stay without refund, if this rule is not respected. We also have a policy of zero outdoor noise permitted at the property after 10pm. Thank you :)

FIRE PIT –      Please note that the fire pit is available for your enjoyment throughout your stay. By using this fire pit, you assume all responsibility and risk for its use. We (The Cottage Coolum Beach) accept no liability or responsibility to any person or item as a consequence of you using this facility. Under no circumstances, including negligence, will we (The Cottage Coolum Beach) be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages or loss that result from the use or inability to use the firepit appropriately.      The use of this facility shall be in adherence to any fire restrictions or weather conditions (referring to official weather reports: eg winds above 12 knots on the Willy Weather app). If fire restrictions are in place or weather conditions do not permit, we reserve the right to pause / stop the use of the fire pit any time for your safety.      We also ask that you please use this facility respectfully and be mindful of the neighbours with regards to noise and smoke. Thank you for understanding.

OUTDOOR SPA RULES
Please follow the following outdoor spa rules for your convenience:
-    No shoes to be worn in the spa area
-    No glass in the spa area (alternative cups and glasses have been provided should you wish to bring a drink into this area)
-    Noise to be kept to a minimum to respect the neighbours. No loud noise will be tolerated after 9pm
-    Spa is not to be used later than 9pm at night and earlier than 8am
-    No jumping or diving
-    Remove any loose items before use. Please be mindful of the suction intake and skimmer box within the spa. Do not sit in front of or on top of the suction fittings or black skimmer box. Anything that may obstruct circulation of the water (eg loose clothing, hair) may result in personal injury or damage to the spa. In addition, do not allow anyone to submerge their head under the water. 
-    Replace the cover after use – to keep it warm and to protect the acrylic
-    Shower before use – a hot shower has been provided for your convenience in front of the spa
-    Do not add soaps or oils to the water
-    Do not sit or lie on the cover
-    Children at all times in and around the spa should be monitored by a responsible adult
-    Pets and animals are not to be brought into the spa area
-    A maximum of 4 people are permitted to be in the spa at any one time
-    Do not use the spa following any strenuous exercise
-    Pregnant women should consult a physician before using the spa
-    Do not use the spa if you are under the influence of drugs or alcohol
-    Prolonged immersion in heated water can cause physical damage
-    If you are on medication and/or have any adverse medical history, you should only use the spa if you have approval from your physician

Please ensure all lights/appliances are turned off when you leave the property each day.
No unregistered guests are allowed on the property unless authorised.
